Whether it’s taking in live music at the 4,200-seat, outdoor Rose Music Center amphitheater, enjoying ice skating, hockey and other winter sports at Hobart Arena, or enjoying performing and fine arts, Miami County has activities for everyone.

While close to the arts, culture, professional sports and tourism attractions of the Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus urban centers, our region also offers exquisite natural beauty. Across the county, 16 parks, nature preserves, and scenic areas are maintained by the Miami County Park District, offering visitors and residents the chance to experience the natural beauty of western Ohio. Miami County is also home to one of just 21 U.S. national water trails, the Great Miami River Watershed Water Trail, which includes 291 miles of paddling, fishing, and wildlife watching opportunities on three beautiful rivers and many smaller tributaries.
 
Education is a priority in Miami County. Our eight public school districts educate nearly 18,000 students, with post-secondary and supplemental options available through the Western Ohio Japanese Language School, the Upper Valley Career Center, Edison State Community College, and the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology.
